We landed by boat in Prince Rupert, BC after a two-and-a-half day ferry ride from Haines, Alaska. Greeted by coastal rain, we pointed ourselves eastward to Kitimat, current home of my college friend Sean Bunce. Buncer treated us to a bonfire on the river, took us mountain climbing, and hooked us up with a warm, dry roof to sleep under. I'll never forget my time in Kitimat.
From Kitimat we continued east and eventually turned south, cruising through British Columbia's interior flatland farm country. Finally, we cut back to the coast once more, scaling serious mountain terrain to summit near Whistler before descending to Vancouver. Canada would send us off in style, as we spent several days with our good friend Natasha in her recently adopted city.
